In River Road, a bright winding river moves through layers of green before disappearing into a dark mountain range. Rebekah uses strong contrast and expressive color to give the small landscape a real sense of movement and distance.
Cool blues and deep charcoal tones shape the mountains, while fresh greens and chartreuse bring light into the valley below. The pale river cuts through the composition like a path, drawing the eye from the foreground toward the horizon and giving the piece a feeling of exploration.
